In-Office, Face-to-Face Therapy

Clients preferring to meet in-office, face-to-face, I observe social distancing and wear a mask.  I have moved my therapy space from a smaller therapy office into a larger space with improved air circulation where we sit 10 feet apart. Surfaces are sanitized prior to every appointment.

Online, Face-to-Face Therapy

I offer face-to-face online therapy through a secure, HIPAA-compliant link. Please call (954) 294-2077 for details and to schedule a personal, online appointment.

I'm here to help . . .

Michael S. Rhodes

Michael S. Rhodes, M.S., M.Div., LMFT, is a Florida state-licensed psychotherapist serving Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties in South Florida. I offer counseling services, including hypnotherapy, to help people manage life's challenges more effectively. My specialities include the treatment of relationship problems, depression, anxiety, and fears and phobias.

Counseling can be helpful with more than "problem resolution."  Indeed, counseling has been documented to help individuals increase focus and enhance the achievement of positive goals.

Seeking help is the first step towards a healthier, more balanced life. I provide a confidential setting where you can express yourself freely.

Please contact me to learn more about how I may help you achieve your goals and feel more satisfied with your life's direction.

My Practice

I offer counseling and hypnotherapy in a comfortable and confidential office setting for you to talk about what's most important to you.  I also offer in-home counseling to those who need and appreciate that level of service.

Confiding in a stranger requires a great deal of trust.  I work with clients from many backgrounds and cultures.  I seek to understand your experience and help you  create your plan for success in relationships and life. You can trust that I will listen without judgment or criticism. Your best interests are my first concern.

Counseling and Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can greatly improve your mental and physicial well-being. Michael is a highly trained professional who specializes in treating mental health issues, relationship issues, and enhancing communication.  We can work together to improve relationships, and solve problems to balance and increase enjoyment in your life.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy can be highly effective and a useful complement to talk therapy. The use of hypnotherapy and the practice of self-hypnosis can help clients achieve results effectively and efficiently in many areas of their lives. Hypnotherapy has been used in the treatment of

  • pain
  • depression
  • anxiety, fears, and phobias
  • stress
  • habit disorders
  • gastro-intestinal disorders
  • skin conditions
  • post-surgical recovery
  • relief from nausea and vomiting
  • childbirth
  • treatment of hemophilia and many other conditions.

However, it may not be useful for all psychological and/or medical problems or for all clients. You may contact me specifically requesting hypnotherapy, or I may recommend hypnosis as an adjunct to our psychotherapy. The decision to use hypnosis will be made after our consultation to determine whether it would be appropriate for you.

See my Resources and Articles page for articles about hypnosis.
