goals. Michael practices brief, systemic therapy with a highly-specialized set of skills for your benefit. This means considering many perspectives while helping you achieve your goals to
improve relationships, personal beahviors, and new habits, using proven methods to make changes quickly.
Approved Supervisor of Marriage and Family Therapy Interns and Florida Qualified Supervisor of MFT Interns
Michael S. Rhodes, LMFT, is an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). The Approved Supervisor designation identifies professionals who have met the educational, experiential, and supervisory training requirements to supervise marriage and family therapists.
As a Florida Qualified Supervisor of marriage and family therapy interns, Michael has demonstrated the experience and qualifications to supervise registered MFT interns seeking to be licensed in the State of Florida. Registered MFT interns are required to have a Florida Qualified Supervisor monitor their progress until they are licensed. Becoming a licensed family therapist in the State of Florida is a demanding process requiring a minimum of 2 years post-masters degree of clinical practice, supervision, and passing a national examination.
